I have asthma and have been sent on job interviews thru temp companies that I have had to turn down because the places they were sending me to were offices where smoking is still permitted. I have missed out on many a good paying job because I am allergic to cigarette smoke. I have gone to Walmart to shop and have had to walk thru a haze of smoke because their employees smoke outside the front of the store, telling the store manager does not help. I cannot go to certain eating establishments because I cannot eat there even with no smoking sections because I can still smell the smoke and it makes me physically ill. I am not judging someone's right to smoke, just my right to not have to be subjected to the second hand smoke that is full of chemicals that are going to only make my asthma worse and put my health at considerable risk. Of this I am afraid. |
